Foil Blocking
When you want that high lustre shine for gold, silver or bronze graphics foil blocking is the route to go. From your artwork we have an engraved die (or block as it's known in the trade) made. Using this die with a combination of heat and pressure to emboss the design onto the vinyl. Used on leather-look vinyls for a more traditional look this process can be ideal for such products as diary covers and menus. By combining foil blocking with screen printing can create more eye catching modern effects.

ARTWORK
If you're a graphics designer, advertising agency or printer you probably won't need any advice from us on artwork requirements. If you're not then don't worry we can help or liaise with your printer or designer if you wish. The file formats we work with are:
• High Resolution pdf
• eps (Encapsulated Post Script)
• ai (Adobe Illustrator)
Please Note:
JPEG files are not suitable for use as artwork as the edges of the images they produce are pixelated and not crisp.

The artwork that you want foil blocked needs to be shown as solid black on a white background and to the size you want to see it on the finished product.
