About Us

Company History

Plasart is a small family run business, founded in 1971 by business partners Charles Roy Parrett and Frank Whadcoat. Having come from the traditional bookbinding trade, they moved into the new field of high frequency welding and set up their new business in an old World War II parachute packing shed on the old Stansted airport site. In 1973 they moved to a more modern and comfortable factory in Sudbury (Suffolk), where the company is still situated today.

In 1990 Frank Whadcoat retired, leaving Charles Parrett and his two sons to carry on running the business. In 1995, after passing on his wealth of knowledge and wisdom, C.R.Parrett took to his garden and gradually retired, passing the reins onto his sons.

Our Values

Being a small family run business we understand the three key factors that any good business must have:

• RELIABILITY

When we say we'll deliver your order by a certain date, this is exactly what we'll do, on or before your deadline! Our reputation for fast turnarounds is only matched by our record for delivering on time, every time. We know there's nothing more frustrating than being told something is going to happen and then it doesn't.

• QUALITY

Even in today's tough economic climate we have resisted the pressure to reduce the quality of the materials we use to make our products. If you want a ring binder that doesn't look much, doesn't stand up to much but is the cheapest, then we're not for you. If, on the other hand, your reputation is built on how you present your business, then we know we can deliver fair-priced quality products that will enhance your company profile.

• SERVICE

We believe that doing business should be an enjoyable experience for both customer and supplier. We strive to build a rapport with the clients we work for and like to think that we offer a helpful, friendly, efficient service from the very initial enquiry right the way through to delivery.
